We have partnered with Nexbillpay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card or credit card to pay their bill. Nexbillpay is a trusted third party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online.

  • What is the service fee?

Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. Service fee will be calculated and disclosed prior to finishing your payment.

  • Does Heflin Water & Sewer Board keep any part of the service fee?

Heflin Water & Sewer Board does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing a service for all the customers of Heflin Water & Sewer Board.

How do I use this service?

Customers will need the following to pay their bill:

  1. The customer/account number (located on your billing statement).
  2. Your payment method: debit card or credit card.

If your account is delinquent, disconnected, or in the disconnect process, you MUST contact our office BEFORE you make a payment. Services will not automatically be restored or prevent disconnection if payment is made without contacting our office FIRST!

IMPORTANT: Bills are due upon receipt and delinquent after the 10th. The grace period cannot be extended when the due date falls on the weekend. This is an online bill payment service. It may take up to two business days for payment to process. If you have received a bill with a past due balance and are subject to disconnection or wish to avoid late fees, please make payments early enough to allow payments to process.

If you have received a bill with a past due balance, are subject to having services disconnected and do not call our business office to inform us of the payment, services may be disconnected and the account will be subject to reconnection fees. If services are disconnected, the account balance plus reconnection fees must be paid in full before services are reconnected. If services are currently disconnected and you make an online payment, services will not be reconnected unless you contact our business office to inform us of the payment and request that services be reconnected. Heflin water and Sewer allows up to two business days after receiving payment to reconnect services.
